Sunday 21st March is Census day in England and Wales.. Every household should have by now received their notification pack in the post containing instructions of what to do and most importantly your 16 character access code which enables you access to carry out the census.
Upon receiving your Census pack, you will be asked to carry out the survey on March 21st so to give the most accurate information as to individual households. If you fill it out before and circumstances change, then you are able to access the information you provided and alter it.
If you fail to complete the Census or provide incorrect information, you will be at risk of being fined up to £1000 so please take your time and fill out the survey to the best of your knowledge. The census should take about 10 minutes for the household questions and 10 minutes per person.
The Census is carried out every Ten years, the information provided allows for organisations and charities to plan and provide services that are required such as Transport, Education and Healthcare. Your information is not for and will never be used by the Government to gain individual access to personal details. If unable to find your access code, you can request a new household access code via their website www.census.gov.uk
